Задіяний у таких біологічних процесах, як процесинг мРНК, відповідь на стрес, транскрипція, регуляція транскрипції, транспорт, пошкодження ДНК, репарація ДНК, транспорт мРНК, ацетилювання, альтернативний сплайсинг. Білок має сайт для зв'язування з ДНК. Локалізований у цитоплазмі, цитоскелеті, ядрі, хромосомах, центромерах, кінетохорі.
