Задіяний у таких біологічних процесах як транспорт, транспорт білків, убіквітинування білків, транспорт мРНК, транслокація, поліморфізм, ацетиляція. Білок має сайт для зв'язування з іонами металів, іоном цинку, РНК. Локалізований у ядрі, мембрані, комплексі ядерної пори.
