Кодований геном білок за функціями належить до рецепторів, фосфопротеїнів. Задіяний у таких біологічних процесах як ендоцитоз, поліморфізм. Білок має сайт для зв'язування з іонами металів, іоном кальцію. Локалізований у мембрані, клатрин-вкритих заглибинах мембрани.
