Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards — нагороди, ідея створення яких належить колишньому реслеру Дейву Мельцеру. Нагороди присуджуються наприклад найкращому реслеру року, нагорода за найкращий/найгірший матч року, реслінг-промоушн року, інтерв'ю року тощо. Перші нагороди були створені ще в далекому 1980 році, коли молодий Мельцер провів опитування серед друзів на тему професійного реслінгу. Згодом, у 1983 році він взяв на себе більші повноваження і почав діяти більш масштабно. Нагороди присуджують у двох класах: клас А (кожен охочий обирає трьох найкращих на його думку претендентів: перший отримує п'ять очок, другий три і третій два очка). Існує також клас Б (ви можете обрати лише одного найкращого претендента) У 1997 році було введено Shootfighter of the Year і Fight of the Year спеціально для бійців MMA.
