«Скарборо» (англ. Scarborough F.C.) — англійський футбольний клуб з міста Скарборо, заснований 1879 року. Був одним з найстаріших футбольних клубів в Англії аж до моменту своєї ліквідації 20 червня 2007 року через борги в 2,5 мільйони фунтів стерлінгів. На основі клубу того ж року була створена нова команда [en].

Історія

Клуб був заснований у 1879 році представниками міської команди з крикету. З 1887 року клуб став брати в Кубку Англії, а також виступав в аматорській [en]. 1927 року клуб отримав професійний статус і став виступати у [en]. А вже у сезоні 1929/30 клуб виграв цей турнір.

1968 року клуб став одним із співзасновників , а 1970-ті роки стали періодом розквіту — клуб тричі виграв Трофей Футбольної Асоціації у 1973, 1976 та 1977 роках, ставши рекордсменом за кількістю перемог. Клуб також двічі брав участь в Англо-італійському кубку.

1979 року клуб став одним із співзасновників Альянсу Прем'єр-ліги, що пізніше отримала назву Футбольна Конференція і була вищим щаблем так званого «нелігового футболу». 1987 року клуб під керівництвом виграв Конференцію і вперше в історії вийшов до Футбольної ліги, опинившись у Четвертому дивізіоні, який після утворення Прем'єр-ліги у 1992 році став Третім. Там «Скарборо» грало до 1999 року, в якому зайняло останнє 24-те місце і вилетіло назад до «нелігового футболу». Це був перший виліт у історії «Скарборо».

В наступні роки у команди розпочались фінансові проблеми і 2006 року команда була виключена з Конференції через непевну фінансову стабільність клубу на наступний сезон. А вже 20 червня 2007 року клуб було ліквідовано Високим судом, закінчивши таким чином свою 128-річну історію через борга в 2,5 мільйони фунтів стерлінгів. Вболівальники команди на основі клубу сформували нову команду [en], яка стала виступати у десятому за рівнем дивізіоні Англії.
